Insights from Political Analysts.

According to several political analysts in the Republic of Moldova, PAS continues a steady growing trend, largely explained by its status as the ruling party and the substantial support received from the European Union – both through financial grants and loans, as well as through official visits by European leaders, which have boosted the party’s international image.

At the same time, the “Respect Moldova” Movement is showing a spectacular rise, thanks to a balanced campaign focused on citizens’ priorities and a pragmatic view of sovereignty, avoiding both praise and attacks directed at either Brussels or Moscow. This equidistant positioning and a discourse centered on concrete national interests have attracted support from many undecided voters or those disillusioned by the polarizing geopolitical narratives.

In contrast, forces suspected of representing the interests of the Russian Federation – especially the Patriotic Electoral Block, the “Alternative” Block, “Our Party”, and the “Great Moldova” Party – have experienced a decline in support during the final stage of the campaign. This drop has been attributed to a wave of investigations revealing alleged Kremlin interference in the artificial promotion of these groups on social media platforms.

According to public information and law enforcement sources, over 250 searches have been conducted across Moldova, uncovering tens of millions of lei, allegedly intended for destabilizing public order ahead of the elections. These developments have significantly influenced public opinion and diminished the electoral prospects of the implicated parties.

The poll was conducted between September 18 and 24, 2025, with a representative sample of 1,054 respondents from across the Republic of Moldova. The margin of error is estimated at ±3.1%.
